The Channel:

#Va is a registered channel on IRC's UNDERNET (Internet Relay Chat).  There are several programs you can use to reach us on IRC, the most common being MIRC and PIRCH.Those lesser known programs include OrbitIRC and VIRC. There are also programs for MAC users.  So if you haven't already tried IRC, download one of the programs and once you are connected.. type /join #VA.  There are also several other Virginia channels on IRC's Undernet ... those being #Virginia, #Virginians, and #Club_Va.. stop by and visit with all of us when you get a chance.

The channel #Va was registered March 15, 1998 by Metroboy, then turned over to VaLady (ToriLee) in October of 1998.
 

The Ops of #VA:

The Ops (@) are there to monitor the channel and to make new people welcome.. they are also there to answer any questions that you may have... so feel free to message them with your questions or comments.

 A Few Requests:

While in #VA please conduct yourself with some maturity.. we realize of course that on occasion a drink or two might cause you to say things you ordinarily wouldn't.. this is taken into consideration.. we all do it from to time.. well some of us anyway
 

    Please do not use offensive nicks
    Please do not say things that are hurtful to others
    AND above all .. please do not say the "c" word
                          (if you can't figure that one out.. ask someone in private)

    If you feel you cannot abide by these few requests .. then by all means frequent one of the other Virginia channels where this behavior is acceptable.
